The Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come to You just as I am. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that God raised You from the dead. I confess with my mouth that You are Lord, and I believe in my heart that You live. Forgive me for every way I have fallen short. I turn from my old life and I turn to You. Wash me clean, make me new, and write my name in Your book of life. From this day forward, I place my faith in You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, teach me Your ways, and help me to follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for loving me, for saving me, and for giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

The Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart. I confess my sins to You — the things I have done, and the good I have left undone. I am sorry for every way I have grieved Your heart, and I ask for Your forgiveness. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Wash me, and I will be clean. Do not cast me from Your presence, but draw me close again. Thank You that when I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Help me to turn away from sin and to walk in Your ways. Strengthen me by Your Spirit to live a life that honors You. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
